Most motorized shades lock you into one brand's hub and one brand's app. If you change phones, switch voice assistants, or the manufacturer sunsets its app — you're stuck.
Matter is the open smart-home standard built by Apple, Google, Amazon, and Samsung together. Our Smart package uses Matter motors, which means your shades pair directly with whichever ecosystem you already use — and keep working if you ever switch. Say "good morning" and the bedroom shades rise. Schedule the west-facing windows to close before the afternoon heat. Tap your phone from the couch. It all runs locally in your home, so it works even when the internet doesn't.
No hub in the house yet? Most homes already have what's needed — a HomePod mini, Apple TV 4K, newer Echo, or Nest Hub acts as the border router. We confirm what you have at the consultation, and if you need one, we'll recommend the right ~$60–$100 option for your phone and household.
Our Smart package adds $200 per shade to the standard manual price — that includes the Matter smart motor, pairing and setup with your smart home before we leave, and a 5-year warranty backed by the same local crew that installed it. Power options: rechargeable battery, solar, hardwired, or Power over Ethernet.
Every shade style we carry can be motorized — roller, zebra, cellular, roman, woven wood, skylight, and outdoor patio shades.
